Your Community Foundation is 25 years old! This year, your feedback led your Community Foundation to a new vision: Thriving Philanthropy, Thriving Communities. We commit to:
- strengthen our region;
- help our donors give effectively in the communities they love; and
- focus our own grantmaking and programs on improving the lives of children and adolescents living in poverty locally, beginning in 2017.
You asked us to act, and we did. We made an organization-wide commitment to addressing poverty in young people from before birth through age 24. In 2016, we hosted meetings and a regional forum to share strategies about this issue, listened to community members express their needs, and made grants from our own funds.
Now we need you.
Your gift supports us, so that we can continue to build on our successful history of promoting philanthropy for the well-being of our communities forever.
