Several Community Foundation friends and donors have asked where they should give to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. We recommend The One Fund Boston 2013.
This fund has been set up specifically for this purpose. Although it is not yet a 501 (c )(3), so contributing is not yet tax deductible, it is applying to the IRS for this status and we have every reason to believe it will receive it. Once that happens, your gift become fully deductible, as granting of 501(c )(3) status should be retroactive to the creation of this fund.
