The Fund for Women and Girls welcomed 120 friends to hear Ana Oliveira, President & CEO of The New York Women’s Foundation, at an October 16th luncheon sponsored by BNY Mellon Wealth Management.
Oliveira has led The New York Women’s Foundation since 2006 and has dedicated her life to helping communities that have many fewer resources than they need to prosper.
In her remarks, Oliveira underscored the importance of listening to the needs and wisdom expressed by grantees. She challenged our Fund to grow, noting that the best way to have a larger impact on our community is to recruit new and different people to the cause. Her message closed with an admonition to take risks and a reminder that new strategies can deliver incredible rewards.
