A grant from our COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund provided significant funding for this project.
“This grant was our largest COVID-19 Fund grant to date,” said Jeffrey M. Vega, President & CEO of the Community Foundation. “When our grants evaluation team read the proposal, we knew that funding this center could save lives in the middle of a pandemic that has devastated our communities.
“We knew we had to act, and we are so thankful that our nonprofit partners, TASK and The Rescue Mission, were able to quickly join forces to create this center in time for winter. They are two of our many grantee partners who have been working tirelessly this year to help so many of our friends and neighbors.”
