THE TRENTON ART FUND’S 2024 GUIDELINES:
The Trenton Arts Fund is dedicated to Trenton’s arts, culture and history organizations, as well as our extraordinary artists – both emerging and established. We believe that strengthening the arts will keep Trenton’s revitalization momentum growing and will contribute to the long-term health and vibrancy of the City. This fourth grant round will fund Trenton arts, arts education, culture, and history organizations with grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Long-term, our goal is to make Trenton internationally known as a place that makes, supports and experiences extraordinary art, culture and history in all its many and varied forms. Projects of particular interest are ones that support both making art and bringing Trentonians to experience arts, culture and history events, programs and performances. The Fund is also interested in supporting new and existing programs that specifically support Trenton’s children, teens, and young people. Grants can be used to offset operating expenses, program costs and special projects.
We believe that arts, arts education, culture, and history are more important than ever and that the arts help revitalize the City of Trenton by providing meaningful and transformative experiences for all Trentonians, especially our young people and families.
About our 2022 Grants
The Trenton Arts Fund was created in 2018 by Trenton residents David Henderson and John Hatch because both feel strongly that the arts help make Trenton a great place to live, work and visit.
In the City, there are an incredible number of start-up and well-established arts organizations, compelling arts projects, talented artists and cutting-edge ideas playing out.
The concept of the Trenton Arts Fund is to support the extraordinary arts scene in the City through operating and project support.
The Endowment will support Trenton’s arts organizations – both emerging and established – while working to preserve the history and culture of the vibrant Trenton community. In the civic life of Trenton, the arts serve a crucial purpose: When the arts thrive, Trenton thrives!
Princeton Area Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund is supporting this vision through a $75,000 donor-restricted challenge grant. The Fund needs to raise $75,000 to receive this donation.
We are asking everyone who has the future of Trenton in their hearts and minds to embrace the idea of the Trenton Arts Fund.
During this time of national social unrest amid the global pandemic, filled with cries of righteous protest and demands for accountability, there has been renewed pride in the Trenton community, its respect and support for one another and its dreams for the future. The economic, social, civic and artistic vitality of Trenton has the ability to be an inspiration to the nation.
This is Trenton’s time, and the arts will play a striking and significant role in Trenton’s future.
We hope you will support the Trenton Arts Fund and contribute generously to support this arts grant program. You can start by donating to the Endowment here.
With tremendous gratitude,
Advisors to the Trenton Arts Fund

While Trenton historically played key roles in the American Revolution and the Industrial Revolution, Trenton is now known primarily as the capital of New Jersey and Mercer County. However, Trenton is so much more. It is a true center of cutting edge art and amazing history. Trenton has:
