The Fund for Women and Girls has commissioned The College of New Jersey professor Dr. Sandy Gibson to conduct research regarding the status of women and girls in Central New Jersey. During the summer and fall of 2011, Professor Gibson and her students are assembling and evaluating data, conducting interviews, and identifying gaps and opportunities related to the support of women and girls.

This research is a critical step forward in the Fund’s strategy to deploy grant dollars in the most informed and effective way, while raising awareness of the needs of New Jersey’s women and girls. We plan to share the findings of this research widely to philanthropists, nonprofits, and policy makers in order to promote decisions that will improve the lives of women and girls in our region.
