The Princeton Area Community Foundation awarded a $2,000 Better Together Community Building Grant to Princeton’s newest playground, built on September 26th on the athletic field of the Princeton Family YMCA and the YWCA Princeton on Paul Robeson Place.
“This playground project is a wonderful example of people coming together to cross boundaries, make connections, organize, and take action in a way that builds social capital,” noted Deborah Aubert Thomas, The Community Foundation’s director of grants and programs. The playground was built entirely by volunteers, under the direction of the national non-profit KaBOOM! whose vision is to provide a great place to play within walking distance to every child in America.
