Princeton Post No. 76, American Legion Scholarship Fund (60 )
Established in 2005, this scholarship is made possible by Princeton Post No. 76, American Legion. The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans’ organization. It is a community service organization with Posts located around the world.
The Princeton Post No. 76, American Legion Scholarship is administered through the Princeton Area Community Foundation.
Award:
One scholarship for a descendent of a war veteran or a person who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during wartime will be awarded annually. The award will be $760 per year for four years of undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Eligibility:
The applicant must be a graduating high school senior who resides in Princeton Borough, Princeton Township or West Windsor Township.
In addition, the applicant must be the son (natural or adopted), step-son, grandson, great-grandson, daughter (natural or adopted), step-daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter of a war veteran or a person who served in the Armed Forces of the United States during wartime.
This is a competitive scholarship, and the recipient will be selected based on achievement, character, and financial need.

Submit the completed application and all required attachments to the Princeton Area

Community Foundation at 15 Princess Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 by May 1.

Award notification posted on Community Foundation website on June 1.
The scholarship will be mailed directly to the institution where the student is enrolled on July 31.
