Jared Colon Memorial Fund

Jared Colon was a 17 year old from Hillsborough, New Jersey.  He passed away on Monday July 28, 2014.  He was an awesome young man who enjoyed riding his dirt bike, fishing and taking care of his chickens and goats.  Jared was a compassionate young man, wise beyond his years.  From his death the Colon family would like to be able to help others.  Jared’s death was not in vain because he helped several people live a better life.  His parents unselfishly donated all of his organs to those that needed them.  Jared was always a very friendly person who cared about everyone and always wanted to help them.  In his death he gave life to others.  No one can change what happened, but the Colon family requests that we learn from this tragic event and learn to talk out your problems and not resort to physical force to solve them. The goal of this fund is to help other children deal with anger issues so other families do not have to cope with what the Colon family is dealing with.

Contributions to the Jared Colon Memorial Fund can be made by check, payable to the Princeton Area Community Foundation with “Jared Colon” in the memo line, and mailed to the Princeton Area Community Foundation or online here (please click on “support a specific fund).
