Greater Mercer Grants Fall 2011 Attracts 43 Proposals

The Community Foundation will grant approximately $430,000 in this cycle, to provide support in the following three categories:

program or project support for work that can make a real and sustainable difference in the lives of low-income people
operating support for organizations that work primarily with low-income people
efforts to build the social capital of the region (trust and relationships that can solve big problems and take advantage of opportunities to make our communities stronger).
Proposals are currently under review by our VP Grants and Programs, Michelle Cash. Final decisions will be made by mid- December and posted on the Community Foundation’s website.
